Genpo Merzel Roshi, one of the leading masters of Western Zen today, will for the first time present his Big Mind, Big Heart practice in Paris on June 12. Genpo Roshi is the teacher of Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi, who is my teacher. He is the second dharma successor of the late Taizan Maezumi Roshi, founder of the Zen Center of Los Angeles.

Weekend de méditation, 8-10 février/Meditation weekend, Feb. 8-10

Au cours de ce weekend, pour la première fois je vais faire une cérémonie de jukai, en présence de mon maître, Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi. Recevoir jukai c'est recevoir les précepts; c'est reconnaître sa vrai nature. C'est une étape importante sur le chemin pour un pratiquant et son maître et pour leur communauté. Tout le monde est invité à assister à cette cérémonie le dimanche après-midi (à partir de 14h).
(During this weekend, I will perform a jukai ceremony for the first time, in the presence of my teacher, Catherine Genno Pagès Roshi. To receive jukai is to receive the precepts; it is to recognize one's true nature. It is an important step on the way for the practioner, the teacher and the community. All are welcome to witness this ceremony on Sunday afternoon, starting a 14h.)
